Kitchen Disco Queen at Flower Market

Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be turning the lights on Chiswick’s Christmas Tree at 5.30pm on Saturday 4th December as part of the Chiswick Flower Market celebrations.

Having raised more than £1m for Children in Need last month, the singer who entertained the country with her Kitchen Disco songs broadcast live from Chiswick during the lock down in 2020, will be lighting up Chiswick High Road.

The festivities start at 5pm when choirs from local schools, Belmont Primary and famous stage school Arts Ed, will sing carols before Sophie - and the Mayor of Hounslow - take centre stage to turn on the tree.

The festivities will continue into the evening with mulled wine and mince pies available, with select local shops staying open late.

The celebrations continue on Sunday when the Chiswick Christmas Flower Market opens at 9.30am with some of the largest selections of flowers and plants in London – all entirely from independent businesses at what has become the “Columbia Road of the West.”

The market will also have an area for local retailers, including florists, as part of their partnerships with local shops.
