The National Flower Show at Hylands House & Estate

The National Flower Show, returns to Hylands House & Estate this May with a brand-new floral theme – Hollywood at Hylands.

From Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May, the rooms of Hylands House will be transformed into floral inspired scenes from the big screen. Curator and lead designer Mig Kimpton will lead a team of floral designers to decorate and fill the house, taking inspiration from films including Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and James Bond.

Visitors will even be able to walk the red carpet and take pictures with an Oscar!

Along with the installations, the house will stage a floral art competition where competitors will create their own Hollywood themed displays, with classes including: Lights Camera Action, Star’s Dressing Table, Hollywood Glamour, Walt Disney World, The Borrowers and more…

Also within the house students from Writtle College will create designs with a Hollywood Wedding theme and the public will award the People Choice Award to the group of students that most impress with their creative work.

“We’re really rolling out the red carpet for this year’s National Flower Show at Hylands House & Estate,” said Show Director Matthew Upson. “We’re very excited about our new Hollywood at Hylands Floral Experience, which will be bringing a sense of glamour and creativity to our 2024 show.”

The three-day event celebrates the very best of gardening, home and lifestyle and in 2024 will feature more stands than ever before filling the lawns of Hylands Estate with inspiration, flowers, plants and everything you need for your home and garden.

The event includes returning favourites like the Outdoor Plant Village, the Fine Food & Drinks Pavilion as well as a Home and Country Pavilion packed with a selection of original handmade gift-ware, jewellery and more.

Visitors will be able to peruse and pick up hundreds of plants and accessories for their gardens all at show discounted prices with this year’s gardening items including plants, garden furniture, hot tubs, awnings, obelisks, bird tables, unique planters, water features, ornaments, solar lights, hanging baskets and more!

Plus, food and refreshments will be available to purchase on the day including Cream Teas, hot food and drinks and ice cream with seating offered as well as a fully licensed bar.

The National Flower Show will run from 9am to 5pm on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2024 at Hylands House & Estate in Chelmsford, Essex. Event parking is free. Tickets are limited and only available online via www.nationalflowershow.co.uk
