Ukraine honoured by UK in flowers

With her surname Chantal Flores was destined to be a florist ... except she actually trained as a Psychologist.

Eighteen years since changing careers, @Chantal Flores Design Ltd is now recognised as one of the UK’s premier floral designers and that was made clear when 10 Downing Street commissioned her to create a special tribute for the Ukrainian Independence Day on August 24th.

The installation was stunning, the meaning behind the flower placement incredibly moving, the reaction more than Chantal ever imagined, the worldwide appreciation phenomenal and a special message from a Ukrainian florist heart-breaking.

But as our Editor discovered Chantal is also incredibly down to earth, made a joke that introduced her to a world of design beyond her wildest dreams and really doesn’t like ladders even though most of her work involves them!
