Applications are open – but close on December 8th – to take part in the world’s most prestigious showcase of flowers and plants, the RHS Chelsea Flower show.
Visited by hundreds of thousands and watched by millions worldwide, being part of Chelsea is a once in a lifetime experience and whilst a big investment in time and money can stand you in good stead for years to come.
For 2023 there are four categories; two brand new ones – a Floral Installation and a Floral Cloud/Hanging which are showcase pieces only so not eligible for Awards and two very different and fun categories – a Floral Bin and a Floral Lamp Post that will be judged and awarded medals in line with RHS judging criteria.
All the details of the categories and how to apply can be found here but even just reading the spec is a fabulous experience and could get the creative juices flowing for other projects whilst the mood boards for the hanging cloud are just dreamy!
However if you have the time, energy and finances being part of Chelsea ... or indeed any of the RHS shows ... Tatton will open shortly ... is a fabulous experience and one everyone should and could aim for.
