Designing Floral Installations without Using Floral Foam

Floristry Trade Club Student Team Competition at the Interflora World Cup Event 2023
For the first time in its history, the Interflora World Cup is being held in the UK and the Floristry Trade Club are hosting a unique competition just for floristry students from across the UK and Ireland to be part of the celebrations.
How YOU can get Involved
We are inviting floristry training schools and colleges to enter a student team to represent them in this special competition, to be held at the Interflora World Cup event on Saturday 9th September 2023.
Each student team should be made up of a minimum of two and a maximum of five of your current or recent floristry students (how you select your team members is entirely up to you).
Sustainability is at the heart of the 2023 World Cup as the theme is ‘Our Natural World’. So, to enter a student team, we’d like you to complete our entry form and tell us what sustainable floristry means to you in 250 words or less.
We’d also like you to back-up your submission by sending us a portfolio of six images of your students’ work, which best represent your floristry school via email to: floristrytradeclub@interflora.co.uk with the Subject “Student Team Competition”.
All entries will be judged by an independent expert who will whittle the entries down to just ten teams for the final. We’ll be announcing the names of the lucky teams who have made the final week commencing 1st May.
The deadline to enter by is Tuesday 28th March.

The Competition Final
The competition final will take place on Saturday 9th September at the Interflora World Cup Event 2023.
Each of the 10 teams of finalists will compete in front of a live audience and to the same schedule (given below) to design the emblem of Manchester, a worker bee.
All of the colleges and floristry schools represented at the final will benefit from a full programme of pre-event publicity as part of the Interflora World Cup marketing activity and there is also the opportunity to promote your floristry school and the courses you provide in the run up to the event on the World Cup website and at the event itself.
Prizes and Fees
At the final, judges will award gold, silver and bronze medals, plus certificates for each competing team member and a trophy for the winning floristry school.
It’s free to submit your application form in the first instance. There is an entry fee for each team of finalists selected to compete, for more information on this, please contact Jacqueline.Whittaker@interflora.co.uk.
