Small Business Saturday - The Tour 2023

Small Business Saturday Logo

American Express has a long history of championing the High Street, and is proud to have been a founder of the first ever Small Business Saturday back in 2010 in the US.

Now in its 11th year in the UK, the campaign has grown significantly year-on-year, encouraging millions to shop small and local. American Express continues to be the Principal Supporter of the UK campaign through this success.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities.

The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.

On Small Business Saturday, consumers across the UK are encourage to support all types of small businesses, online, in offices and in shops. Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.

The Tour 2023

The iconic Small Business Saturday UK Tour is back again this November, brought to you by Small Business Saturday.

The countdown to Small Business Saturday is officially on, as The Tour returns to spotlight and support small businesses all over the country.

Once again supported by BT Skills for Tomorrow, ‘The Tour’ will call at twenty three different towns and cities across the UK throughout November, visiting small businesses and shining a light on their contribution to the UK economy and local communities.

It will also offer a jampacked free daily programme of online events - including workshops, webinars, mentoring and inspiring entrepreneurial stories - open to all small businesses.

Kicking off in Inverness on Monday 30th October, The Tour will travel across the UK for five weeks and make use of electric vehicles – including a state-of-the-art eco-friendly electric bike from Stirling Eco – to limit emissions and reflect the sustainable switches many small business owners are making as part of their vital role in the race to net zero.
