Small Business Britain are proud to officially launch The Willow Review Final Report, a landmark initiative that proves that sustainability isn’t just good for the planet, it’s good for business too.

The independent Review is backed by government and co-chaired by Minister Gareth Thomas, Michelle Ovens CBE, and Nick Stace OBE. The Willow Review brings together new data, real-world case studies, existing research and the voices of hundreds of small businesses to explore the financial benefits of sustainability.
Key findings from the Review include:
· 67% of SMEs who benefit from sustainability report lower operational costs
· 52% say it’s helped them attract new customers
· 65% of financially successful sustainable businesses track their efforts
· 60% have introduced waste reduction strategies
· 56% cite cost savings as a key motivator
The Review doesn’t stop at insights - it lays out practical recommendations for small businesses, government, and financial services to make sustainable growth simpler and more achievable, including a clear 5-point plan for SMEs and calls for more accessible finance and support.
