There are so many ….but with experience and insight, you can navigate around them.

So, what could possibly ever go wrong when working with wedding flowers I hear you cry? I am going to highlight a series of potential wedding flower pitfalls – and how to avoid them.
1. Your client takes your expertise and ideas to one of your competitors.
When booking a wedding appointment with a client, ensure that you have pre-explained the process/terms and conditions of the consultation before you start
discussing their wedding flowers and that a deposit will be required and a signature obtained on the wedding form (agreement) which will have your Terms & Conditions included.
2. Your client doesn’t pay on time, or even worse, doesn’t pay at all.
Strict payments terms must be included in the agreement with clear timelines of when payments are due and the consequences that may happen if payment is not received.
3. The flowers and foliage don’t arrive, or they arrive late.
Ensure that you have a trustworthy supplier, who will inform you if there are any issues with transportation of your order and demand compensation if necessary. Place the order with a delivery date which will allow you to have time to rectify any problems. Have a local back-up supplier. Be on good terms with local florists so that you feel comfortable to ask if they can help you out.
