Unlike other floral trends, hat boxes really seem to be sticking around – and once you unbox their credentials, it’s really not hard to see why.
Unique
Yes, although they’ve been around a little while now, Hat Box designs still stand out as something a bit different to the usual bouquets and arrangements. They can be an eye-catching, ready-to-go gift option to display in your shop, or offer online. With a huge range of colours and even different shapes, there's a hat box to suit every style.
Budget Friendly
Sets of three with small, medium and large sizes can be used to cater to different budgets. Showcase a classic in the medium size, offer a mini-version in the small size, and for those wanting to wow, create something really spectacular in the large box.
Versatile
Thanks to their waterproof liner, Hat Boxes can be used for a range of fresh designs; use with OASIS® Floral Foam or FibreFloral™ Design Media for fresh flower arrangements, fill with soil and pop in a plant, or you can even simply fill the hard plastic liner with water and create an arrangement with a tape or wire frame. Hat Box lids can be used in multiple ways in your design; pop the lid on the bottom, mount the lid to crown the top of your design or have it ‘floating’ as a feature, or create a flat design inside and put the lid on for secure transportation and a lovely surprise for the recipient.
Beyond Florals
Hat Boxes make beautiful gift boxes too. Remove the plastic liner and use as luxury wrapping for gift items. Using Hat Boxes as gift wrap also makes wrapping awkward items easy – no matter the shape, just pop in and fill out with luxury tissue.
Less Flower Waste
Because it’s possible to do low, compact designs in Hat Boxes, it’s a great way to use up short or broken stems – meaning less flowers go in the bin, and more profit goes into your pocket.
Eco-Friendly
The Hat Boxes from OASIS® Floral Products have lots of great eco credentials. They’re made from FSC certified card – which means the wood used has come from a certified sustainable source. The cardboard boxes are recyclable after use, and the hard plastic liner is PET (the same stuff as soft drinks bottles) which is easy to recycle in your normal hard plastic recycling too. Even better, they are reusable. A top tip would be for customers to reuse as storage boxes or gift packaging – or offer a discount if your customer returns the empty box to refill with more fresh flowers.
