Chelsea in Bloom 2025 - Fashion in Flowers Winners

Best Floral Display

Jessica McCormack  Sloane Street  ‘Lace in Bloom’

Inspired by the intricate floral patterns of antique lace, the railings, steps and inner windows of this Chelsea diamond jeweller were transformed by tiers of textured foliage and delicate, nodding flowerheads. Design by Scarlett and Violet, with a neutral palette of milky white, cream and muted green included Digitalis, Spiraea, Hesperis, Antirrhinum and Ammi visnaga.

The mechanics were very straightforward, moss covered buckets, baskets and troughs were attached the railings and filled with chicken wire and water, ensuring that all the floral material had plenty to drink throughout the week of the show.

The Innovation Award

Andreas & Kale Street ‘Pompadour’

An immersive installation by American floral artist Ace Berry, celebrating the Marquise de Pompadour, described as the original fashionista! Visitors and guests were encouraged to explore a tunnel of flowers, while being treated above and below with a full sensory floral experience.

An impressive list of stems included Hydrangea, Rose, Delphinium, Stocks and Allium plus scatterings of fresh fruit. Free standing arrangements were in recycled plastic and agrawool, while the suspended flowers were painstakingly attached to a wooden framework. Mechanics used were wire, stainless steel, iron and timber and – despite having to deal with the existing scaffolding around the front of the building - Ace pulled off an amazing achievement.
