It’s important to remove all foliage in contact with water as it will break down and pollute the water very quickly.

How to care for Celosia as a houseplant: Watering, Light and Feeding Requirements
Temperature: Cool/warm, between 10-18°C.
Watering: Keep compost wet, but not soggy. Don’t allow it to dry out.
Humidity: Mist occasionally, avoid wetting the flower as this will encourage rot.
Light: A bright spot, they don’t thrive in semi-shade, but shield from direct sun.
Feeding: Every two week while in flower.
After flowering: Celosia are annuals, so once they have flowered, they can be disposed of in your compost heap.
Pro-Tip
Plant collapse? This is usually caused by overwatering. If your plant is in a pot cover, always take it out first to check that your plant is not already semi-submerged.
