Native South African flowers come into their own at this time of year. They may be pricey, but they are worth the money as you only need a few to make an impact. They'll repay the investment as they are good looking, long-lasting and love warm conditions – what more could you ask for!
Brunia

Brunia’s pretty silvery grey spheres are in fact tiny flowers clustered together to make a tight, compact head. In water they can last for up to three weeks, they can also be dried and are hardy enough to be included in Christmas door wreaths, swags and garlands.
