POTR - Grow More, Waste Less

‘Grow more, waste less’

It sounds counterintuitive to be able to construct a waterproof plant pot by using the ancient Japanese art of origami, but POTR, who describe themselves as ‘A compact team of design thinkers, data engineers, brand wizards and one rocket scientist.’ have managed to do just that.

Aiming to produce ‘modern homes for thriving flora’ the pots are made from recycled and upcycled waste materials and are manufactured in the UK. Flat packed, (they can be posted through a letter box), they come with easy to follow instructions on how to assemble.

And that’s not all, they also have an integrated watering system, designed to take the guesswork out of plant care. How does it work? By ingeniously creating a separate reservoir at the bottom of the pot which draws water up to the plant by using wick cord. The overall look is modern and symmetrical, with clean lines and sharp geometric shapes.

Sustainability

These lightweight pots use 95% less material on average than those made from ceramic or concrete. This in turn cuts the shipping carbon footprint down drastically, by over 100 times, in comparison to the weight and bulk of a traditional pot.
