Pantone Summer Colours

The Pantone Color Institute experts are not holding back this summer with a palette of colours so bright you may need sunglasses. Even the names of the colours shout vibrancy, ‘Fiery Red’, ‘Beetroot Purple’, ‘Tangelo’ and ‘Empire Yellow’ all promising to ‘blend escapism with reality, wholesomeness with joy, and an uplifting sense of play’.

The higher the intensity of colour the more vibrant it becomes, but beware of saturation, of overwhelming customers with too many clashing colours massed together. If you suspect your arrangements are in danger of giving you a headache, take respite in Pantone’s core classics of Oyster Mushroom, Grayed Jade, Tender Peach and Mocha Mousse, or grey, sage green, peach and brown to the layman. These neutral tones will help to temper the brightness and stop the eye from becoming fatigued.
